Earlier today, Stockholm decided to give up on the inaugural season in the OEL and plan for the future. The Sluggers traded two pitchers to Mississippi for four players, including two high prospects.
Heading across the Atlantic to the Deep South are starting pitcher Oscar Leon and closer Herbert Mantooth. Leaving the sultry climes of Mississippi for the fresh air of Scandinavia are major league hurlers Peter Burkhart and Joey Saez. Prime prospects Jeffrey Yancy (SP) and Justin Lindner (LF) are the prized pieces for Stockholm that let this deal happen.
Additionally, a third-round pick in the next amateur draft was dealt to Stockholm.
