Sim #27 Complete: Nothing resolved!

Yes, folks, just like a democratic primary season another sim has gone by and nothing is resolved! Some things are clearer and some things are murkier but there's no end in sight!

In the Platonic League Seattle continues its march to glory but Sylva, Stockholm and Maryland continue the bitter feud for the wild card slot. Sylva is up this week with Stockholm just 1/2 game behind and Maryland just two behind. That playoff slot is up for grabs!

Speaking of up for grabs the entire Socratic League is still fighting it out. Marietta continues to be up by 1 game this sim while Brooklyn, Jersey City, and Winnipeg are all 1 game off the pace. Perhaps next sim we'll find some space between the contenders but I wouldn't count on it!

The game of the sim this time goes to New York's Alfonzo Vargas who threw the league's third NO HITTER! Vargas spread no hits and two walks against Pittsburgh! We've had one no hitter in each season so far and we'll have to wait to see if there are any further in 2003!

Bad news on the injury front this sim as Marietta lost starting pitcher Christian Diaz for five to six weeks with and inflamed rotator cuff! His return for the playoffs is questionable. Also lost this sim was Pittsburgh's Brian Staudt with a pulled tricep. He's out for 1 to 2 weeks.

The files are uploading now! The next sim is Friday by Mack! Be there!

While the injury to Brian Staudt is a step in the right direction, I remain concerned about the Pisces' stubborn refusal to lose games. A well-timed swoon could net us the first pick in the draft! Don't these guys know that?

Change the schedule so we play more, then. I could use the wins.
