We're another game deeper into the Division Series, folks, and things couldn't be more different in the two contests.
Once again it looks like the most prolific winner in the league (277 wins in the life of the OEL) is facing elimination in the playoffs with their loss today to wildcard team Maryland! Seattle got shut out by Maryland Starting Pitcher Quinn Shetler who gave up only five hits and no walks while striking out seven Seattle batters. Maryland took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back, winning the game 3-0 in regulations.
In the Socratic League Brooklyn knots up the series AGAIN. Both teams had nine hits in the contest but Brooklyn turned those nine hits and one walk into four runs against Winnipeg's two-spot! Both starters went seven innings but Brooklyn eked out the slightly better performance.
What will happen tomorrow night, baseball fans? Will Seattle come back to make it a series or will they go down in defeat for a third playoff appearance in a row? And will one of Winnipeg or Brooklyn break through and open up the Socratic League playoff series? Only tomorrow night knows and it's not telling this reporter!
The file is uploading now and the next games are tomorrow night by Mack! Be there!

Sigh. I wonder if moving my team out of the Seattle area might improve our postseason luck. :)
Maybe it's the cloud cover.
I wanted to win one in the warm winter wonderland of Winnipeg so I would be up 3-1 at this point and have a chance to bring home the SL title at home. At least I have Tyler "Ex-" Conn going tonight and hopefully he will bring home the win in the pivotal game 5 and then 1 out of 2 on the road to continue on the goal of winning 2 in a row!!!!!
What drives me nuts, watching this as an outsider, is that IT COULD'VE BEEN ME BEATING SEATTLE! (Ask Mack about my Seattle-beating prowress in the SDMB league.)
