Election again. In five I've got to catch a county commissioner who thinks he's dodged me!
Sim's done and we're heading into the last two sims.
NOTE: My final sim will include 10/1 to take us to the end of the season.

Oh good, another injury. My closer is out for 8 weeks. :)
Mack/Nate, can one of you clarify the rule on transactions during the playoffs? If I put my closer on the DL and he magically heals during the playoffs, will I be able to add him back to my active roster during the playoffs? I have a recollection that there is some rule preventing this, at least during a series. Maybe it can be done in between series. Any clarification would be appreciated.
In real life a team with a player who becomes injured during the playoffs may replace that player with any other playoff-eligible player.
However, in the OOTP-verse, 25 man rosters are set at the beginning of the playoffs. I believe that, once begun, the playoffs are played with the players on the roster and injury replacements are not available.
The scenario you envision, however, would not be possible even during the real life series. Barring an injury, as mentioned, players may not come on the roster during a series. Between series rosters may be manipulated...just not mid-series.
Well, look on the bright side Matt. It's not like Savage's 5.88 ERA is irreplaceable. Heck, you've got four other relievers currently sporting with better ERAs.
His ERA notwithstanding, Savage may be my most talented reliever... which is really saying something. My bullpen has been godawful this year.
7 games out of the wildcard with 10 to play - ah well, the dream was nice when it lasted. At least I'm 4 games up on HAL.
Course losing consecutive games to Helena and their 1-star starting pitchers both by score of 5-4 really don't help.
Since Friday is Halloween, the next sim will likely be run midday Saturday (Pacific time).
Just FYI.
Hey, I know I'm scared.
