Wow Mack -- Matt (owner of Seattle) and I, on a conference call with all the the rest of the league owners, just had a boisterous, laugh-out-loud, hold-your-sides, pee-your-pants, doubled-over hour of hilarity discussing the contract you just gave Zaragoza.
Have you ever played this game before? Not only did you overpay in our (expert) opinion, you gave him too many years. 6 years at 9 million for an aging vet? What the heck were you thinking?
No wonder you couldn't beat Brooklyn in the Series last year. Jeremey's superior management skills triumphed over your now-evident bumbling. Clearly,even getting to that point was a fluke; I'm sure you'll be mired with that albatross (pisces?) of a contract around your neck down the road.

I offered silas more money than Nate did, but he ended up signing with Nate. Curse him!
Zaragoza is an awesome player and Mack is lucky to have him. I really wanted him, but not at that price. I get a small amount of satisfaction knowing that Zaragoza was prepared to accept my $6.5MM / 4 year offer before Mack channeled Bill Bavasi. All that extra money should pay for the wheelchairs Zaragoza will need in the final years of his contract. ;)
Of course, I probably overpaid for Diedrich too, so I'll shut up now.
