I have three current good OFs patrolling under the blue Swedish skies, and three prospects waiting at the door to replace them. Is your outfield ... lacking?
Well, maybe bases-clearer Dennis Delvecchio is your man. He's on pace for 140 RBIs and plays all three OF positions. He's under a very reasonable $1.8 million contract that expires this season.
Or, perhaps you want a pure CF, like Mark Peters. He's solid, can bat at the top of the lineup, or perhaps after your big bats.
Finally, there's one player destined to make the All Star team again this season: Donald Mansfield. He's batting over .350 thus far this year, with an OPS of .933. He's under contract through this season (for $4.25 million -- a bargain for an All Star outfielder!).
Now, for what I want: A starting pitcher, ready to slide into the rotation behind Chad Gomez. A solid #2-3 guy. Perhaps an ace, if you want a prospect in addition to one of the above outfielders.
