Sim #8 Complete: Platonic Race Tightens Up!

Sim #8 is in the record books and things are tightening across the OEL! In the Platonic League both Sylva and Maryland closed some space on Seattle. Sylva is now only one game back and Maryland is one game behind them! It's a three team race so far in the PL!

In the Socratic League things remain confused as ever with only 3.5 games separating first from last in the league. This sim Brooklyn is in front with Jersey City now half a game back and Marietta only a half game farther from the lead! No one knows who's going to win this one folks! It's a toss up from top to bottom.

In interesting games this sim on May ninth Brooklyn's Fossum, Coddington, and Fortner combined to hurl a three hit game in shutting out Pittsburgh 8 to zero. Pittsburgh was also featured, but in a good way this time, on May eleventh when they defeated Winnipeg 6 to nothing. While that score looks one-sided it was a nailbiter with the score 1-0 going into the top of the ninth in which Winnipeg brought in reliever George Heilig and he proceeded to give up 2 walks and 3 hits...all of which went on to score! What a finish!

In top performances this sim Pittsburgh is featured AGAIN with starting pitcher Oscar Leon getting a game score of 91 with his nine-inning, four-hit, no walk complete game over Winnipeg. That was good for the third best pitched game so far this season!

On the injury front there were no horrific injuries of note, thank goodness.

The next sim is Monday by Mack, back from the frigid and flooded east coast! Go get 'em, Mack!
