Sim #6 is complete and cuss the luck, Marietta lost every game they played this sim! That drops them to third in the Socratic League behind a tied Winnipeg and Brooklyn. Still, with a month in the books there remains only three games that separate first and last in the SL. Anything can happen and likely will.
The Platonic League is beginning to show some distance, however. Seattle is still in first but only by a game over Sylva and a game and one half over Maryland, who has had some trouble since their hot start. Last in the PL is still Pittsburgh who now sits eight games back at 8-16. Not everyone can achieve a .333 winning percentage Mack! Well done!
In games of note this sim we find the May 2 tilt between Jersey City and Winnipeg. The game lasted 14 innings and Winnipeg, down one in the bottom of the 14th put up 2 against reliever Augusto Pesante for the win. The teams combined to use fifteen pitchers in the game.
In a devastating blow this sim Marietta lost star centerfielder Brady Morris for the remainder of the season with a ruptured MCL. It's quite a blow to the team on the Ohio River and everyone is waiting to see what they'll do to replace that sort of production!
