Sim #16 complete! Marietta Assumes Rightful Place!

The Sim is complete and building on their winning ways Marietta is alone in first place in a Socratic League race that is beginning to open up.

But not too much. At the end of the sim Marietta is up on Helena by 2.5 games. Meanwhile Winnipeg is only 1/2 game behind Helena and Jersey City is yet another half game behind them! Brooklyn, however, has fallen to 7.5 games back and is fading quickly with a 3-7 record over their last 10 games.

In the Platonic League Seattle continues to hold the lead, four games over Maryland in the wildcard spot. Stockholm is only three games out of the second playoff spot, though, and Sylva is one game behind them. With almost half the season gone there are still eight teams with decent shots at the playoffs. Keep paying attention, sports fans!

In major injury news Helena lost starting pitcher James Bowler on June 21 to a strained rotator cuff. He'll be out of action for at least six weeks! Meanwhile, Stockholm's Oscar Leon will likely miss one start. He's day-to-day with a tight shoulder.

If the schedule is correct the next sim is tomorrow by Mack. Be there!

Man, I fear for my new starter Fortner. Bad things seem to happen when you start for me and don't suck.
