Lewis McGurk combined with two relievers on a seven-hit shutout of the highest-scoring team in the OEL and took home Player of the Game honors. Leadoff hitter Leo Villa went 3-5 with three RBI and two runs scored.
Meanwhile, Winnipeg manager Hal WOPR used his cutting-edge computational skills to control Brooklyn in a 5-2 victory. Striker star Reinaldo Salerno hit a three-run home run to start the scoring. Hernando DeSilva backed him up with 7.1 shutout innings to win Player of the Game. Winnipeg led 5-0 going into the ninth inning before the Bombers began hitting. Stephen Hyer hit a two-run home run with one out before Striker closer Edward Adams struck out Donald Mansfield and William Marone to end the game.
